The Finnish Institute in London seeks to identify emerging issues of contemporary social relevance in Finland, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland and to work for positive change.

The Institute has two programmes: the arts and culture programme explores current themes and acts as a catalyst for collaborations between events, institutions, groups and individuals; the society programme seeks to provoke discussion on social justice, transparency, open data, education and learning.

We enhance co-operation between researchers, artists, experts and decision-makers in the three countries. Our aim is to advance change and fresh opportunities in the fields of culture and research.

The Institute was founded in 1991 and is maintained by the Finnish Institute in London Trust.
