The Finnish Institute in the Middle East (FIME) is a research institute operating across the Middle East. We have been located in Beirut, Lebanon, since 2013.
Our activities include conducting academic research, supporting Middle East studies in Finnish universities, organising courses together with universities, advancing academic and cultural co-operation between Finland and Middle Eastern countries as well as promoting Finland in the region.
The Institute is maintained by the Foundation of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East founded in 1994.
