SKTI participates in the Science Communication Seminar at Science Forum on the 9th of January

On Thursday 9 January 2025, an international seminar on science communication will take place in Hanasaari: Is current knowledge brokering impactful? Insights and oversights from science-policy interface. The seminar will bring together science communicators from the Nordic and Baltic countries to discuss science communication in an era of crisis, measuring impact and the role of science communicators as partners and competitors.

Hanna Lämsä, Executive Director of the Finnish Cultural and Academic Institutes, will take part in a panel discussion on cooperation and competition between institutes on the topic Together or better alone? Collaboration and competition in knowledge brokering from the perspective of cultural and academic Institutes. She will be accompanied by Ria Berg, Director of the Finnish Institute in Rome, Petra Pakkanen, Director of the Finnish Institute in Athens and Clotilde Tachon, Director of the French Institute in Finland. The debate will be moderated by Suvi Lahtonen from the Committee for Public Information. The panel discussion will be conducted in English and will not be streamed.

The seminar is organised by the the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies, Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre Hanaholmen and The Finnish Academy of Science and Letters. The seminar programme and registration form are available on the Hanasaari website.
