The Finnish Institute in Saint Petersburg is a meeting place for Finnish and Russian research and culture. Institute’s cultural events are aimed at a wide audience in Russia. Flagship projects highlight Finnish architecture and design as well as training for literary translators.
The institute co-operates with businesses and academic institutions, participates in seminars, and helps connect experts and organizations in the two countries. It supports events and initiatives related to Finnish culture.
The institute’s office is located in the Finland House in the city centre of Saint Petersburg. The building has welcoming spaces for lectures, concerts and seminars, a library with a wide selection of Finnish and Finland-related literature, and residential accommodation for artists, writers and researchers.
