The Finnish Institute in Saint Petersburg is a meeting place for Finnish and Russian research and culture. Our cultural events are aimed at a wide audience in Russia. Flagship projects highlight Finnish architecture and design as well as training for literary translators.
We co-operate with businesses and academic institutions, participate in seminars, and help connect experts and organizations in the two countries. We support events and initiatives related to Finnish culture.
Our base in Finland House in the city centre acts as a focal point for Russo-Finnish relations. The building has welcoming spaces for lectures, concerts and seminars, a library with a wide selection of Finnish and Finland-related literature, and residential accommodation for artists, writers and researchers.
The Finnish Institute in Saint Petersburg and Finland House are managed by the Saint Petersburg Foundation, which also hires out the building’s office, meeting and event spaces.
